Palliative Care
Compassionate Support for Children with Serious Illness and Their Families
At Community PēdsCare®, we provide expert pediatric palliative care for children living with serious illnesses. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for both children and their families by addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. Thanks to the support of our generous community, these services are available at no cost to families.
What is Pediatric Palliative Care?
Pediatric palliative care is special care that helps children with serious illnesses feel better — in their body, their mind, and their heart. It’s not just about treating illness. It’s about making sure your child is as comfortable and supported as possible, whether they’re at home, in the hospital, or somewhere in between.
This kind of care:
- Helps with pain, breathing problems, and other symptoms
- Supports your child emotionally and spiritually
- Helps you as parents and caregivers with tough decisions, stress, and daily challenges
- Works alongside your child’s regular doctors — it doesn’t replace them
- Can start at any time during an illness — even while still getting treatments to try to cure or manage the disease
Think of it as an extra layer of care for your whole family, focused on comfort, connection, and quality of life — no matter what.
We’re here to support you every step of the way. Together, we can ensure your family receives care and support.
